I am a designer and social scientist currently based in San Francisco. Collaborating with researchers, non-profits, and cities, I create experiences to support learning, connection, and well-being.
I received a doctoral degree in Educational Psychology and a master's degree in Learning, Design, and Technology from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in film from Northwestern University.
After my doctoral work, I became Director of Innovation at The Tech Museum of Innovation. I now lecture at the Stanford d.school [Hasso Plattner Institute of Design] and work as an independent designer and design research consultant in the Bay Area and beyond.
I've had the pleasure of working with the Moore Foundation, Google, UCLA Sci | Art, Kaiser Family Foundation, DKT International, Facebook, and the Knight Foundation, and, through my work with the d.school and Designing Insights, I have facilitated workshops with the Magic Johnson Foundation, SAP, Raikes Foundation, The Getty, Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Indianapolis Museum of Art, and SFMOMA.
