I work at the intersection of design and research to identify human-centered opportunities and to create meaningful experiences for people to learn, connect, and thrive. From public health to urban design and maker education, I've collaborated with partners across fields on digital and physical products.
I received a doctoral degree in Educational Psychology and a master's degree in Learning, Design, and Technology from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree in film from Northwestern University. I lectured at the Stanford d.school [Hasso Plattner Institute of Design] for seven years, and I currently consult as a designer and design researcher in the Bay Area and beyond.
I've had the pleasure of working with the Moore Foundation, Facebook, Google, UCLA Sci | Art, Kaiser Family Foundation, DKT International, and the Knight Foundation, and, through my work with the d.school and Designing Insights, I have facilitated workshops with the Magic Johnson Foundation, SAP, Raikes Foundation, The Getty, Denver Museum of Nature & Science, Indianapolis Museum of Art, and SFMOMA.
